Scandi Boho interior style

Scandi-boho is the compromise everyone actually wants: the light, ordered base of Scandinavian design with boho's plants, layered rugs and travel textures on top. White walls and pale wood keep it breathable; kilim cushions and hanging greenery keep it human.

Materials and texture

The Nordic base contributes pale wood, flat-weave rugs and matte ceramics; the boho layer adds kilim patterns, macramé, wicker and tassels. The trick is ratio — roughly two-thirds calm Scandinavian surfaces to one-third collected boho layers.

Color and light

White and oatmeal dominate, with terracotta and muted tones arriving through textiles rather than paint. Daylight is precious and left uncurtained where possible; plants take the place of artwork.

Pure Scandinavian rooms edit harder — fewer textiles, no pattern creep — while scandi-boho allows collected warmth on top of the calm base. Remove the boho layer and you have Nordic minimalism; keep it and the room tells stories.
